Install your favorite apps on Ubuntu via command line.
Here are some of my favorite Apps which I use on Ubuntu Linux: (You just need to open the terminal and, then type the commands to install those apps.)
- Installing Chromium “Chrome Browser”Command: sudo snap install chromium
- Installing Slack: Command: sudo snap install slack –classic
- Installing Discord Command: sudo snap install discord
- Installing RocketChat+ Command: sudo snap install rocketchat-desktop
- Installing Telegram Command: sudo snap install telegram-desktop
- Install Skype Command: sudo snap install skype –classic
- Install Visual Studio Code Command: sudo snap install vscode –classic
- Install Atom Command: sudo snap install atom –classic
- Install VLC Command: sudo snap install vlc
- Install Brave Command: sudo snap install brave
- Install Shotcut Command: sudo snap install shotcut –classic
- Install WordPress.com Desktop client Command: sudo snap install wordpress-desktop –classic
- Install Simplenote Command: sudo snap install simplenote

There are some of the other Apps which I need to try and install are canonical-livepatch, Docker, PhpStorm, node.
I also want to mention my fav IRC client which I love to use Pidgin: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Pidgin
The above commands use snappy package manager to install the apps, it’s simply known as snap.
For more apps visit the Snapcraft store. If you find something that command that doesn’t work or broken as I said above let me know, suggestions & comments are welcome.
